Morgan Kramer, MSW, ASW

My name is Morgan Kramer and I am an Associate Social Worker (ASW) and I am working towards becoming an LCSW under the supervision of Michelle Riley- LCSW. I love serving my community and advocating as a social worker to support and partner with people who want topursue health and wellness in their lives!

Educational Background

I obtained my BA in Communications from CSU-Stanislaus in 2009. After working in business and human resources for several years, I decided to pursue my passion in social work and obtained my Master of Social Work (MSW) from CSU-Stanislaus in 2020, where I gained valuable experience through my field internships and clinical courses. In May of 2022, I completed my master’s program and graduated with distinction.

Work Experience

I discovered a passion to help others find support and healing for the variety of emotional and mental health issues challenging so many today during my years working in human resources. So, I left the business field and pursued a career in social services. I worked at Center for Human Services as a Student Assistance Specialist (SAS) and served students and schools in different school districts throughout Stanislaus County. As a result of working in schools, I discovered how many children are hurting in our world and struggling to make sense of their often traumatizing and painful environments. Additionally, I also came to understand how many parents and guardians struggle to meet their children’s emotional and mental health needs and the family is suffering. I am passionate about serving children of all ages and supporting their development into healthy and thriving people! I am equally passionate about supporting parents to develop the skills and tools to parent from a healthier and more informed way that promotes connection and trust with their kids.

Professional Development

Currently, I provide mental health services for people residing in the central valley. I specialize in working with kids 12 years old and older, parenting and family issues, and family mediation. I utilize a variety of evidence-based interventions to serve my clients’ varying needs. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT),  Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT), Family-Centered Treatment (FCT) (in office only), and I am currently training in Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) and Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have experience working with death and loss for kids and adults, families of divorce, learning disabilities, and much more. My work experience, education, and lived experiences from my own personal life have provided the ability to support people from all walks of life with compassion and empathy.
